Commenting on the decision by Iain Gray, leader of the Labour Party in the Scottish Parliament, to come to Perthshire to talk about jobs and the economy today (Wednesday) the Scottish National Party's Ms Annabelle Ewing, SNP General Election candidate for South Perthshire and Ochil, said:

"Labour's Scottish puppet has a real brass neck coming to Blackford to talk about jobs after the state his party has left the economy in.

"Iain Gray and his group in the Scottish Parliament voted against the Small Business Bonus which has saved thousands of pounds for small business across South Perthshire and Ochil while Labour's Chancellor has already conceded he would cut 'tougher and deeper' than Thatcher if re-elected.

"The SNP are going into this campaign with a clear message for Scottish voters: more votes means more Nats, and more Nats means less cuts and continued investment in the Scottish recovery."
